Peter Cumberlege

Peter Cumberlege is the legislative consultant to the Federated Hospitality Association of South Africa (FEDHASA). In this watchdog role he monitors national and provincial legislative issues likely to impact on the hospitality and represents the industry to government on many key issues. A former director of Southern Sun hotels, Peter has over 30 years’ experience in hotel management and hospitality operational consulting. Peter is a regular contributor to hospitality industry publications, and has written a number of books on legal requirements for small or hospitality businesses with Lisa Gordon-Davis.

Moira-Lisa Haylle-Dick

Moira-Lisa has been an independent business consultant since July 2003. In the past 3 years she has worked for clients in the ICT, Telecoms and Mining industries. Her project roles vary from writing and implementing business plans for start-ups, developing performance improvement plans for sales and channel teams, to managing stakeholder relationships during the implementation of a Business Intelligence project. Moira-Lisa’s consulting background and experience was gained during the 5 years that she worked for Gemini Consulting. Whilst at Gemini, Moira-Lisa specialised in sales and marketing processes. Her projects included product positioning and range review, sales process improvement, organisational restructuring, and the development of segment and channel strategies. Prior to joining Gemini, Moira-Lisa worked for a leading South African retail company in Operations Management.

 

Tom Swart

 

 

Tom has been the owner and Managing Director of Third Wave Human Development, a training and development consultancy, since 1992, accredited with the ETDP SETA.  He holds the MA(Ed) in Curriculum Studies (Design, Development and Evaluation) from Southampton University. He is a qualified Assessor (NQF 5), Moderator (NQF 6), Verifier (NQF 7) and Project Manager (NQF 5).  Tom has had 23 years’ experience in formal education: primary, secondary and tertiary education; private and public schools; management, curriculum development and research.  He has almost 18 years’ experience in non-formal training: early childhood development training, facilitation, assessment and moderation, research, evaluation, accreditation and curriculum development; community development projects, including small business development in tourism; policy development; outcomes-based education educator and lecturer in-service training within the NQF framework; writing of training materials and development of outcomes-based methodology and assessment (NQF Levels 3 to 6).
